Awareness
Notice what you think, feel, do, and need without judgment.
This bilingual learning space welcomes you with warmth and compassion as you explore the inner landscape of your life through psychology, human stories, meaningful reflection, and simple practices you can bring into each day.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Start exactly where you are. Gently honor all that has shaped you, discover the courage and wisdom already within you, and take your next step toward growth with intention.
I came to the United States from Mexico at age 21 without speaking English. My journey through immigration, education, family life, career changes, and personal growth taught me that our history influences us—but it does not have to make every decision about who we become.
Today, I am a psychology professor and educator with more than two decades of experience working with families, children, adults, and college students. I created Attitude Rose Learning to bring psychology outside the classroom in a way that feels warm, understandable, culturally respectful, and useful.
I am not here to speak down to anyone or pretend that growth is simple. I am here to learn with you, share what psychology can teach us, and help turn reflection into realistic practice.
Attitude does not mean ignoring pain or pretending that everything is fine. It means understanding our experiences, caring for ourselves, and choosing our next response with honesty, courage, and intention. When we learn to understand ourselves from the inside, we can live more authentically and create a life that reflects who we truly are.
“Your attitude is your most essential power.”
